Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara Review

Hey Chickens,
I have survived my first week back at school and honestly it wasn't even as bad as I thought it would be but that is not what this blogpost is about. This blogpost is going to be about the new Covergirl Peacock Flare mascara. I got this in the mail on Tuesday and I've been using it since then and I have mixed feelings about this mascara so lets get into this post.

I love the packaging of this mascara, it is like a metallic type blue with black and it is actually really pretty. A really helpful and nice aspect of this mascara packaging is on the head of the mascara has a rubber strip to hold on to when your applying it and it keeps it very sturdy. The colour of the mascara is a more natural black (I received this in the shade 'Extreme Black') and the colour isn't too intense. The actual formula of the mascara is really nice. It says that this mascara 'provides clump-free volume' and I can confirm that. The mascara doesn't clump at all, not when it comes out of the bottle or when it goes onto your lashes to a certain extend.

The mascara brush has interesting bristles. Depending on how you apply the mascara it will look super pretty or really clumpy and like you have spider legs coming off your eyes. When you're applying the mascara to your top lashes, if you like curve and twist the wand up your lashes it won't clump and it will look really pretty. If you try and apply it like a normal mascara (just pushing it up) it doesn't look very nice, at least for me when I tried it, because the bristles don't cover every eye lash. My biggest tip for this mascara is a little goes a long way. When you apply a small amount, it looks nice but when you apply a fair few layers it will clump it. This mascara is so shit for your bottom lashes. Because of the way the bristles are it doesn't apply to every bottom lash and will just clump up onto one or two lashes.

My overall opinion of this mascara is it is good. It isn't my all time favourite mascara but in no means is it not good. My only real problem with this mascara is the bristles, the formula is great and it looks really pretty on your top lashes and it would look nice on your bottom lashes, if they bristles were shaped differently. Should you buy this mascara, yes, if this is the type of bristles and mascara wand that you like, definitely buy it when it comes out.

Thank-you to Coty for sending me this mascara, it is very much appreciated.
This mascara will be available nationwide (Australia) from February 2018 at Priceline, Big W, Coles, Target and selected pharmacies.
The RRP is $21.95

Thank-you for reading this blogpost, I really do hope you enjoyed it. If you have tried this mascara, be sure to tell me what you think of it. Next week in blogposts, I'm going to try and post three. The new Maze Runner film review, a books review and on Sunday I will be posting my Walker Stalker post. I'm going to Walker Stalker on Saturday and I'm honestly so excited to go, I can't wait! I love you all to Venus and back but until next time, bye.
